3. Which persons can be covered under the prepaid funeral packages?
Your loved ones including spouse, parents, grandparents, siblings, parents-in-law, and foster parents.
4. What happens if I move to a different location after sign-up?
Whilst plan servicing can be done by the member from anywhere in the world, the execution of service benefits on the demise of a qualified member knows no bounds, and thus can be done anywhere within Ghana.
5. How does FamilyCare ensure the confidentiality of personal information?
We take privacy seriously and have strict confidentiality protocols in place. We handle your personal information with the utmost care in accordance with the Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843) provisions.

1. How do I become a prepaid member of FamilyCare Funeral Trust?

2. What are the requirements to become a member?
- A properly completed application form (either from any of the offices or on the Self Service Portal)
- A valid National Identification Card of the person(s) you wish to cover
- Medical information of the persons you wish to cover
- The registration/joining fee — a one-time fee required of all members and payable before the application is processed and the first month’s contribution is accepted
3. Can I make changes to my prepaid funeral plan after it has been established?
Yes, you can modify your prepaid funeral plan at any time. Contact our office, and we’ll assist you with the necessary adjustments. Forms can be accessed here.
4. How can I request funeral services as a non-member at the point of need?
To request funeral services as a non-member, please get in touch with any of our offices or visit shop.familycaretrust.com. Alternatively, dial short code *789*113# (when in Ghana) or WhatsApp us at +233 26 262 6181 for assistance.
5. What are your packages for non-members?
Non-members can select from our packages at shop.familycaretrust.com. There is however the liberty to create a custom package as may best suit your needs.

Absolutely. We work closely with families to create personalized and meaningful funeral ceremonies that honor the deceased’s life.
7. Can FamilyCare assist with repatriation services?
Yes, our experienced team can assist with repatriation services, ensuring the seamless transportation of the deceased to their desired location.
Claims & support
1. How do I put in a claim as a member?
At the death of any member, the following documents are required:
- A properly completed FamilyCare claim form (can be accessed here)
- A Medical Certificate of Cause of Death (if the death happened in the hospital)
- A police report and coroner’s report if the cause of death is non-medical or happened anywhere outside the hospital
2. How long does it take to finalize funeral arrangements and administer benefits?
The timeframe varies based on individual preferences, but our team will require six (6) weeks from the date of the official report of death to enable preparation.
3. Can I get more than my plan offers at the point of claim?
Yes, our team will assist you with how this could be achieved.
Payments & policies
1. Are there payment options available for prepaid funeral packages?
Yes, we offer flexible payment options to accommodate various budgets. Our team will work with you to find a plan that suits your financial situation.
2. Can I trade my services for cash?
No. None of the FamilyCare prepaid packages are convertible to cash.
3. How can I keep track of the details on my prepaid plan?
All members have access to our self-service portal that gives insight into your plan and keeps you abreast of the information on your plan.
